Parametric shape optimization

We now present the methodology used in CAESES® to modify the shape of the spoiler. The software optimizes the values of the radial basis functions, so that the target curve respects the chosen geometric parameters. This process, which is applied before each simulation, allows each new geometry to be transferred to ultraFluidX, for automatic modification of the mesh.

Below we show the result, for the two main parameters, controlling the size of the central indentation.

This method is described in more detail in one of the publications available on the site. It can be applied to all industrial geometries.
